  • What Makes My Acupuncture Practice Different From Others Near Shrewsbury?

One thing my patients often tell me is that they appreciate how much time I spend with them.

Initial acupuncture visits typically last between 1½ and 2 hours, while follow-up visits are usually about 1½ hours. That extra time allows us to talk in depth about your health history, your current concerns, and the bigger picture of your life and well-being.

East Asian medicine is built on the idea of treating the whole person, not just a single symptom. Taking the time to understand you fully helps me create a treatment plan that supports deeper, longer-lasting healing.

  • What Conditions Do I Treat Near Shrewsbury?

At Holden Acupuncture we work with a wide range of health concerns using both modern and classical approaches to East Asian medicine.

Rather than focusing only on symptoms, East Asian medicine seeks to identify the underlying imbalance contributing to a condition. We use acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and guidance on nutrition and lifestyle to support both symptom relief and root-cause healing.

Below are some of the conditions we commonly treat.

This list is only a starting point.

  • Anxiety and depression
  • Arthritis and joint pain
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Digestive issues – IBS, diarrhea, constipation, nausea
  • Fatigue, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia
  • Women’s health – infertility, PMS, dysmenorrhea, morning sickness, menopausal transition
  • Headaches – migraines, tension headaches, sinus headaches
  • Immune system concerns
  • Pain conditions and musculoskeletal injuries, including sciatica
  • Respiratory conditions – allergies, asthma, sinus congestion, colds
  • Side effects of medications, including chemotherapy and antiviral treatments
  • Sleep disorders, insomnia
  • Stress
  • How Much Do Acupuncture Treatments Cost?

I believe healthcare should be clear and straightforward, so I keep my treatment fees simple.

Your first acupuncture visit is $125 and usually lasts about 1½ to 2 hours. During this time we’ll go over your health history in detail, discuss your concerns and goals, and begin your first treatment.

Follow-up visits are $100 and generally last about 1½ hours, allowing time to review your progress and continue your treatment plan.

I also offer treatments for children, Chinese herbal consultations, and cupping therapy, each with their own fee structure.

You can see the complete list of our acupuncture treatment fees here. And if you ever have questions about the cost of care or which treatments may be appropriate for you, I’m always happy to discuss them.

  • What Are My Office Hours?

We see patients five days a week, including evening hours to help accommodate busy schedules.

    Tuesday: 9am – 7:30pm
    Wednesday: 1pm – 7:30pm
