Looking for Acupuncture in Worcester, MA?

Say Hello to Holden Acupuncture.

Why not ditch the Worcester traffic and impossible parking and take the short jaunt to Holden for a relaxing and effective acupuncture treatment?

Our office is located at 672 Main Street in Holden, in the same building as the restaurant Thai House of Holden and across from Quinn’s Blue Plate. Main Street is also called MA-122A. We’re easily accessible from 190.

My successes with Robin and acupuncture are many. I lost 60 pounds, I stopped getting recurring tension headaches which required anti-seizure medication and I finally became pregnant. After a miscarriage, Robin treated me throughout a healthy and successful pregnancy. My family and I are so grateful for Robin, her wisdom and her kindness.L.Y.

  • What Makes Me Different From Other Acupuncturists in Worcester?

I’m famous for taking a lot of time with my patients. Initial visits with new acupuncture patients typically last between 1.5 and 2 hours. Follow-up visits are typically 1.5 hours. I spend a lot of time getting to know you, inside and out—not just about your health, but your life and who you are. I believe in treating the whole person, and I can’t do that well unless I take the time to get to know you!

  • What Conditions Do I Treat at Holden Acupuncture?

At Holden Acupuncture we treat a wide variety of ailments using both modern and classical approaches to East Asian medicine.

East Asian medicine works by uncovering the root of a person’s condition to treat both the root cause and the presenting symptoms at the same time. We use acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxabustion and nutritional and lifestyle counseling to treat both the symptoms a person is experiencing and the underlying cause of their condition.

Below is a short list of conditions that I treat

(but it’s by no means an exhaustive list!)

  • Anxiety, depression
  • Arthritis, joint pain
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Digestive ailments – IBS, diarrhea, constipation, nausea
  • Endocrine and blood sugar imbalances
  • Fatigue, CFS, Fibromyalgia
  • GYN – infertility, PMS, dysmenorrhea, morning sickness, menopausal transition and symptoms
  • Headaches – migraines, tension, sinus
  • Immune system disorders
  • Pain conditions and musculoskeletal injuries, sciatica
  • Respiratory ailments – allergies, asthma, sinus congestion, common cold
  • Side effects of western medications, including chemotherapy and antiviral agents
  • Sleep Disorders, insomnia
  • Stress
  • How Much Do My Acupuncture Treatments Cost?

Our goal is to make acupuncture care accessible and straightforward, so I keep the fee structure simple and transparent. Your initial acupuncture visit is $125 and typically lasts about 1½ to 2 hours, which allows plenty of time for paperwork, a detailed health history, discussion of your treatment plan, and your first treatment.

Follow-up acupuncture visits are $100 and usually last about 1½ hours, giving us time to check in on your progress and continue your care. We also offer appointments for children, herbal consultations, and cupping therapy, each with their own fee structure.

You can view the full list of current treatment fees on this page. As always, if you have questions about treatment options or costs, I’m happy to talk them through with you.
